My next post of 100 blogging things :D! And it will be mass postings of sorts.

08/100 -- Benedict Cumberbatch

I've mentioned before that I don't usually start obsessing over a guy like Ben in the looks department. Just look at any of his pictures and photo shoots--that face doesn't change much at all. And he's not exactly what I would call handsome on my first impression.
If it wasn't for the Sherlock TV series, I'm sure I wouldn't have liked him so much. And of course, if I hadn't discovered his tumblr tag, I wouldn't be as far gone to say that I'm obsessed with him. XD;;

The reason why I was obsessed with this guy himself is when I saw his performance in the first season "The Blind Banker" and his helpless look in second season "A Scandal in Belgravia":

It's oddly amazing how his facial expressions changed in a fluid motion. I'm pretty sure a lot of actors can command their facial muscles just as well, but actually making me stop, stare and push that scene back to re-play? And in the end, still feel amazed?

In Sherlock there were quite a lot of amazing camera work focused on Ben's face. Considering how I didn't consider him that attractive on first appearance (even my sis couldn't say he looked handsome or anything...), the way the camera zoomed in on Ben's facial movements and THE EYES~~~~ I was sold.

I never knew I had an eye fetish or more likely a Briton Eyes fetish until I saw Ben's eyes and to a lesser extent Tom Hiddleston's almost electric eyes. Sometimes they're green, or grey, or blue, or silver. According to some sites, they called the color glasz. I don't even know anymore.

The fact that he made me actually LOOK at him despite not being handsome, as say Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles), and admire his performance as an actor, is quite a big feat. :D

Plus, Ben is a very humble person as far as I have seen his public appearances (he had studied to become a lawyer and even taught classes in a Buddhist monastery for a year).
AND~~the fact that his voice is so deep also helps (He even impersonated Alan Rickman's Snape a bit... hahahah). Having a TVtropes page is also not helping at all with my stopping from obsessing about him.

I hope to see his Frankenstein performance with Johnny Lee Miller (who is also playing Sherlock Holmes in a CBS series called Elemental). Apparently, it was amazing to see his transformation.

I first saw him in the film Amazing Grace and fell for him then...he was just so good in the role of William the Younger. *o* He's a really good actor, and I think that's part of the attractiveness, along with how striking his facial features are.

Yep. Yep. He's not about the striking handsomeness that usually is associated to attractive actors. He commands this kind of aura as he acts his parts and gradually makes you fall in love with his acting and his other features come along later. :D I really want to see "Amazing Grace" T____T

Yes, he is. Jensen is even considered a bishounen type at TVTropes. XD;;

I also can't wait to see him in Star Trek. :D And Smaug in The Hobbit! His voice is very sexy.
