It's been a while since I wrote anything like a diary sort since the turn of 2020 to 2021.

Some changes in summaries:

- I'm still liking my current work and co-worker. It's also fascinating to see how much we can work together as a team.

- Last month, I had to bury a relative of mine. She caught Covid and was already of age when we realized her health wasn't good.
The process of coordinating the burial rites were exhausting and a lot of family drama came into play. I'd been emotionally exhausted after that week, but I think I did well trying to communicate with the family considering the pandemic.

- Got my first vaccine shot in July and will get my second dose tomorrow. <3

- MXTX books are officially licensed in English and preorders are up sevenseasdanmei. If these books are doing well, they might continue licensing other danmei novels ~whispers maybe Priest~.

- Moved on from certain fandoms and ended up back in k-pop, due to several new mv releases and of course the "Kingdom: Legendary War" show of which several boy groups compete with each other.
The groups in question were:
  1. BTOB - I've watched them debut and listened to a lot of their songs back in 2013, like "Insane" or "Thriller" or "Beep Beep". "I'll be your man" <3 iconic song.
  2. iKon - funny how I know almost most of their popular songs but not really know about their group name. "Love Scenario" and "Killing me" being their most popular song. "Why Why Why" is so catchy.
  3. SF9 - not familiar with this group, but I do remember looping "O Sole Mio" a lot some time ago. Their recent song "Teardrop" is also so catchy.
  4. The Boyz - not familiar with this group either, but I know about them from their journey in the show prior to this season Kingdom: Legendary War. They were insane in Road to Kingdom. "The Stealer" is so catchy.
  5. Stray Kids - have been in my peripheral for a while between "Hellevator" and somehow "Levanter" and "Double Knot". but to be very honest "God's Menu" and "Back door" got me interested in them. "Easy" too.
  6. Ateez - they have been in my playlist for a while since "Wonderland", and "Answer" but I never really got too deep into them until I watched "Kingdom" show. "Hala Hala" and "Pirate King" had been on repeat on my playlist though.
Gosh, I realize how long I've been in the k-pop fandom whenever I watch random dance play videos.

Video heavy afterwards.

I usually don't watch survival/battle show much but this concept was really interesting since I had been looping several songs of Ateez and found out about their Kingdom version of Wonderland. Which is quite a feast. And from then I on I kept looping Ateez's performances until I decided I should check out this show and see what's all the hype about (and why they didn't win).

In conclusion, I ended up loving all groups and enjoying the moments where they interact and had to work together to perform cover songs.
Mayfly FTW!!
Episode 6 is my favorite because it's sports day and the groups were all adorable.

Favorite performances at the top of my head:

- SF9's covering Taemin's "Move". they kept the sensual sexy side of the original song, which is usually hard to replicate.

- BTOB covering Stray kids' "Backdoor". The original song is already amazing and to hear BTOB's take on it? Perfect!

- The Boyz covering SF9's "O Sole Mio". I enjoyed the tango aspect and the theatrics here.

- Mayfly unit (Ateez/BTOB/Stray kids) covering IU's "Love Poem". Simple but so so beautiful and healing when the vocalists all come together.

- Ateez "Wonderland kingdom ver." and covering iKon's "Rhythm Ta". They went all out in all their performances tbh. They're really that group that goes extreme in charisma.

- iKon covering Ateez's "Inception". Their take is so nice.

- Stray kids covering BTOB "I'll be your man". It's now my ringtone for app messages. The original is already so hard to sing but Stray kids kept the original key and the rapping at the climax was amazing.

- BTOB's "Blue Moon". My ringtone for calls. Jazz is nice.

- The Boyz "Kingdom Come". I really enjoyed this one just as bgm.

Honestly I enjoyed the whole theatrics of this show and of course the interactions during their collab stage.
