While the world is panicking, I've recently decided to jump into the void of a duo that post comedic YouTube videos regarding classical music or violin sometimes roasting videos: TwoSetViolin.

I used to watch some of their older skits back in the day but never got around the idea of subscribing to their channel until in December last year, I think (I don't remember if it's because of the erhu video or if it's because of one of their devilish sight reading videos or the comedy skits).

From them on, I just check out their whole channel and have been binge-ing many of their recent skits. The entertaining parts are, of course, when they reviewed several movies/series/shows about "apparent" violinists and judged them whether the depictions were accurate or not. Very informative. Hilarious even. I enjoy the educational value of these "reviews", despite not playing the violin myself. I also appreciate the fact that they sometimes feature soloists too like Hilary Hahn (a mukbang even) or Ray Chen or try out some things in Olaf's luthier workshop. Very educational. (The 7 Stradivarius one was interesting.)

Anyway, while Brett and Eddy often joke around on their channel, watching them flex their actual skills become almost rare that some new comments often point out that they didn't realize these two are actual professional musicians.

Like for example: the promise that once they hit 2 million subscribers, Brett would play Tchaikovsky (I can't believe he also played at the G20 Summit... ). The next milestone better be Eddy playing Sibelius.

Which he delivered recently in a livestream, with Eddy as orchestral accompaniment.

...

I think I'm just going to make a running list of music pieces they recommend to listen, besides the overplayed pieces.
